On my way

And I'm on my way ... 1 flight down and 2 to go.  

Travel time for the 3 flights including layovers = 34 hours.  😬🛩

Right now sitting in the Centurion Lounge at Miami International.  Since I have a 4-hour layover I thought it was just the time to tell you what it's like packing for a trip to Nepal.  I have all the regular things one would pack but also some "extras."


So yes, of course, I also pack a few things like Band-aids, etc when I travel but ... 


...never have I ever had to pack a First Aid Kit that could heal a small army.  
But, as they say, better safe than sorry.

Trekking Poles

Seems like a good idea since I will be trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas 
in the latter part of the trip.

"Trekking in the foothills of the Himalayas" does not roll off of my tongue easily since it is not something I ever really expected to be doing.  I am SO excited!!!

Cheese Crackers and Peanut Butter Crackers 🤣🤣🤣

Not that I don't love lentils and rice but Dal Bhat - their staple dish - 
is something that is apparently served all the time.  My little tummy can already be sensitive when I travel and try new foods and while I look forward to trying it 
(AND I will even be visiting a family to learn how to make it), I also need a good ol' stand-by.

Do I really need all of this? 

I will find out, and on a serious note, one thing I am really looking forward to discovering is how much my experience matches what I have read.

Did she really need to take TP???

Did she like the Dal Bhat???

Was the First Aid kit actually useful or did she end up needing 
the 1 thing she didn't have?

Do they really eat Dal Bhat all the time?

Did she eat all the peanut butter crackers in the first week? 😜
